Our Mission:Sharing real hope for today's lives through
Jesus Christ!
Belief Statement:The Apostles' Creed has existed since the days of the early church. It eloquently
but succintly summarizes our statement of beliefs:
I believe in God, the
Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth,And in Jesus Christ, His
only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered
under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and
was buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He
ascended into heaven and sits at the right
hand of God the Father almighty. From thence he will come to judge the living and the dead.I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the
communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Values:Worship:
We value and celebrate a variety of worship services that are Christ centered,
gathered around Word and Sacraments, and honor the heritage of the Lutheran Church.
Spiritual Growth:
We value personal spiritual growth and maturing in the Christian faith.
Personal Stewardship: We value freely giving of our time, talents and treasures in response to God's grace. Expanding God's Kingdom: We value sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the growth of His congregation at Epiphany, and extending
His ministry into our community and beyond.
Vision:Epiphany is a growing and dynamic church that makes a spiritual difference
through Jesus Christ in the lives of its members, guests, community and beyond.
About Epiphany Lutheran ChurchEpiphany Lutheran was born when four families met together on Epiphany Day, January 6, 1964. Their
desire was to start a Lutheran Church in Chandler, AZ. With a modest beginning they held their
first service on February 16, 1964 in the Chandler Women's Club on North Colorado Street. The early services were led by Pastor
Thomas Jacobsen. Services were later conducted in Chandler Junior High School from August 1964 to August 1968. In November 1964, the property at 800 West Ray Road was purchased from the
Knox family. The church and small fellowship/administration building were dedicated on October 29, 1968. The Rev. Thomas Klinkenberg
was Pastor. Our pastors during our 45 years of existence
