We are always looking for people to help with various
aspects of the worships services. Do you feel comfortable at a microphone? Maybe you could be an Assistant Minister.
Would you rather work "behind the scenes"? We could always use help with setting up the Altar for Holy
Communion. Read the brief descriptions below, and if you feel God pulling you to help out, contact Bill Bosco to be set up for training. Thanks so much for serving!
Coordinator, this position oversees the entire
service and directs all of the participants. You need to be familiar with all the other positions before taking on this duty
Assistant
Minister, do the Bible Readings (prewritten) and write and read prayers during the services. Training is required
before taking on this position.
Communion Assistant, help distribute the Bread
and Wine during the serving of Holy Communion. Training is required before taking on this position.
Ushers,
these duties are pretty straight forward, they include; handing out the bulletins at the beginning of the service, collecting
the offering during the service, directing the congregation during the serving of Holy Communion, picking up after the services.
There are other duties that come up from time to time depending on the service. We usually do “On The Job Training”
for the usher position.
Greeters,
look for the new faces that come to our services, to make our first contact with new guests and help direct and answer questions
new guests might have (or find someone who would be able to answer their questions)
Altar Setup/Clean up,
Prepares (Sets up) the Bread and Wine for Holy Communion and cleans up the Bread and Wine after the service. Training is provided
and usually new participants are assigned along with another member for their first few assignments.
